Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The building and architecture is beautiful, the exhibition is unfortunately sparce, some really interesting pieces but a lot of empty space. What i found VERY disappointing is the staff, the receptionist was rude and pompous, and the staff all over were watching like hawks as though they were expecting visitors to steal. They completely ruined our experience as we were interrupted 5 times for really silly things, for instance my 10 year old kid was told not to walk ahead of me and should stick by my side, and then to ask me to wear my jeans jacket rather than to hold it etc...Just ridiculous, and so intrusive while one tries to enjoy the art. Very unwelcoming to kids. Such a shame...

Surprisingly entertaining! Probably the most fun I've ever had in a modern art museum. Very interactive and you can tell the curation team has the public in mind, the exhibits are unpretentious. We saw "The Grand Hotel Paar" temporary exhibit and it was a blast. I only wish the art pieces in the permanent collections had more explanations in English instead of just QR codes. We kept thinking about the chair room and the multiple pieces by "Fancy Feast" afterwards. It was also interesting to learn more about Gerhard Richter. The building itself is soulful and beautiful.

The building that houses the museum is interesting and has a lot of concrete used with the construction. The modern art did not impress me much. Conceptual art. 70's, 80's. etc. when art became a commodity in the hands of investors. The artists learned to do outrageous things, empty buckets of paint on white canvasses. And then the money started flowing Oh well.... Wondering through the galleries sometimes you see something of interest
