Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Nürnberg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

We visited on the €1 International Museum day. The layout over 4 floors (traversed via stairs &/or lift), information & interactive displays were plentiful with English text in most sections. It was very informative with excellent variety & provided fascinating historical/ cultural & political insight into the rise and current status of Nuremberg. A few of the Audio and VR items were not working which may have been due to the busy day we experienced ( the ones that were working were fabulous) . It is definitely worth a visit here where you can immerse yourself (probably allow 2.5 hrs or more) in the remarkable history of Nuremberg...plenty of it ! Thankyou Stadmusuem im Fembau🙏

The museum was super interesting and above all expectations. The reduced ticket was only 2,50€ and it was the best 2,50€ ever spent! The interactive parts were super entertaining, from the vr to the binoculars. You could really see the care in every detail! Definitely worth a visit!

A fascinating local history museum, in a wonderful old building. (There is a lift, and the museum is accessible for people with wheelchairs or rollators.) On a busy Saturday, this was a welcome peaceful oasis in Nuremberg. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

the building survived the raids from 1945 without any damage. it is turned into a 4 floors of city history from paintings to antiquities and artifacts reflecting the imperial life in Nuremberg. a Vr sections lets you discover the Market square from 1910 and the interior of the demolished Synagogue.

The City Museum at Fembo House is a remarkable testament to Nuremberg's rich history. The former grand merchant's residence has been transformed into a fascinating showcase of the city's past, offering you a glimpse into how it evolved over time. Through its meticulously preserved original rooms, reconstructed settings, and interactive exhibits, the museum vividly illustrates Nuremberg's transformation from a medieval trading hub to a modern metropolis, encompassing both its glorious moments and the scars of war.
