One of the best Biergartens in the city. Cycle or walk here. U5 Michaelibad is also about 400m away. Currently they have a massive screen for public viewing for the football world cup. Also kids playing area available and decent sized toilets for all.

We had a fantastic evening at Michaeligarten Wirtshaus. The location is beautiful, especially if you’re sitting outside overlooking the lake – a perfect place to relax with family or friends. The food was very good, with generous portions and plenty of choice on the menu. The atmosphere was excellent throughout the evening, lively without being too loud, and it really captures the feel of a traditional Bavarian beer garden. The service was friendly and welcoming, although at busy times it can take a little longer, which is understandable given how popular the restaurant is. A big bonus for sports fans is that you can also watch major sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup while enjoying a meal and a drink, making it an ideal place to spend an afternoon or evening. Overall, a great experience in a lovely setting. I’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a fantastic atmosphere, and a classic Munich beer garden experience.

For me one of the best beer gardens in Munich. I go here whenever I visit Michaelibad. It’s right next to a lake. Super peaceful.

A bit pricy but worth it. The food is very tasty and the staff is friendly. Great views of the lake and park.

We came by recommendation, to a beautiful sunny place directly on the lake. The view of the lake is very nice and despite the adjacent beer garden it was relaxed and quiet. The service was very friendly and fast. The menu is good, but the seasonal menu appealed to us more. The food was deliciously good 😊 Overall the Price-performance was due to the quality food and environment good. Absolutely recommended!
