About Sababa am Viktualienmarkt
👑Sababa am Viktualienmarkt👑 👑KING of Falafel and Shawarma👑
Sababa am Viktualienmarkt is a restaurant in München, Bayern. It is listed at Westenriederstraße 9, 80331 München, which places it among the local businesses of München that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as falafel-restaurant, libanesisches restaurant, imbiss, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–7 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 089 23237881. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is sababa-munich.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 1,510 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in München and suggests consistent service.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A hidden gem in Munich for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern street food! The falafel was incredibly fresh, crispy outside and soft inside, and the shawarma was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Simple place, fast service, generous portions, and honestly one of the tastiest quick meals I’ve had in Germany. Everything tasted homemade and authentic — the kind of food that instantly makes you happy 😋 Highly recommended if you are around Viktualienmarkt and want something casual, quick, and truly satisfying. Definitely coming back again 💞

Good food, my only drawback is that on the top you have salads and falafel is on the bottom, I rather have it more mixed.

The BEST falafel plate I've ever had. Not even close. The guys brought out complimentary tea after the meal too. Do your belly a favor, and hit this place up 😋

I am sitting outside right now writing this review. My two friends and I have been wandering in the market looking for somewhere to eat lunch. We didn't want to have to line up or go somewhere expensive. Sababa really pulled through. Best falafel and schwarma experience of our lives. We had 3 mix tellers. Plates are a great size that fills you up but is manageable. Large helping of hummous that spans the plate. Tabbouleh was delicious, falafel was crispy and scrumptious, bread was warm, chicken was succulent, cabbage was crunchy and flavourful, olives and pickles and tomato and lettuce included as well as a red sauce. You would not believe how quickly the food disappeared from my plate. Impeccable. Would absolutely visit again, take the 22 hour flight from Australia just for this food.

We visited on a Saturday morning, and it was crowded. In spite of that, we found a small table outside to eat at. We ordered the shawarma platter. Every element on the plate was so delicious, with warm toasted pita on the side. A single plate was filling for the two of us. Service was very fast and friendly.
