Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 09:00–22:00. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 030 67815562. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak.
With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 777 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for biergärten & brauhäuser in Berlin. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.
Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. For directions in Berlin, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Me & my son (British), came here in in the daytime for lunch in June 2025. Everything about the visit was great - The service, the beer and the food. All the staff that served us made us feel welcome and spoke great English. We tried 3 different beers and all were excellent. We tried loads of things to eat (various sausages, chicken, sauerkraut, baked potatoes etc) and all taste good. We'd actually came to this area of Berlin (Kladow) to vit the military museum (which was free and excellent and was easy to get to vie S Bahn & then a bus. After the museum we wanted lunch and saw on Google maps the lake with beergardens on it and thought kit might make a lovely picturesque place to stop. It most definitely was. Whilst there we saw passenger boats coming a going and realised, that it was a passenger ferry across lake to Wannasee and it was included free in our 24hr public transport ticket (zone A&B). We chose to return to Berlin centre, using the ferry and changing to S Bahn and it was a great way to travel and see more of the outskirts of Berlin. I would recommend.

A beautiful, peaceful, calm, lake side garden restaurant, serving the best beer and soups.

Very chill place, beautiful view to the Wannsee and amazing to hangout. The sparrows also like when you drop some bread for them. Staff was fine with no complaints. Food was alright, but nothing special, it's about the experience tho. Bier von Fass was default but good enough.

We went to this beer garden and the wetter was 35 degree. I wanted to buy a beer from barrel but they said that their barrel machine was broken. So I bought bottled beer. Unfortunately it was not cold. Besides that I ordered a french fries, but it was over cooked. Terrible experience. Never recommend.
