Der Holzmarkt 25 ist ein genossenschaftliches Stadtquartier am Spreeufer in Berlin Friedrichshain. Das Projekt ging aus der Zwischennutzung einer ehemaligen Brachfläche als Technoclub Bar25 hervor.

The place itself is great, in a lovely spot by the river. It had a bit of a funfair vibe while we were there, but bonus points for the analogue photo booth, which gave us a really beautiful black-and-white portrait and a lovely memory of our trip

It is one of those places that feel like they have their own slow rhythm, right by the Spree. It’s a really beautiful spot along the river, especially on a sunny day when everything feels open and a little unhurried. There are plenty of different food options around, so you can wander, pick something, sit down, and take your time without any pressure. What makes it stand out most is the vibe. It’s relaxed, slightly creative, and always feels like something is happening in the background. They often have events or small gatherings, but even without that, it’s still a great place to just be. There are also lots of seating spots scattered around, which makes it easy to stay for a while, whether you’re catching up with someone or just spending time alone. Overall, it’s a really nice place to slow down, eat, and enjoy Berlin at its easiest pace.

This is one of Berlin's highlight! A beautiful spot to enjoy the river and nature after a long walk along the Berlin wall. The venue offers drinks and meals. A great place to chill with friends and family!

You’ve got chill areas everywhere, people lounging by the water, spontaneous music popping up, and that perfect “I could stay here all day” feeling. Hungry? No problem — tons of food options. Feeling impulsive? Sure, go get a tattoo while you’re at it. Because why not? 😄 It’s kind of like a little self-contained universe where everything just works and nothing feels forced.
