For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–10 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Lollo Rosso Caffè Bar on 089 23519134; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, cafe.lollo-rosso.com.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 657 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafés & kaffee in München.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Okay so I need to tell you something and I need you to actually hear me. I am a carbonara snob. Not in an arrogant way, but in a deeply sincere, almost spiritual "I have studied this dish, I respect what it is, and I feel genuine grief every time someone puts cream in it" kind of way. 98% of restaurants get it wrong. I have made peace with this. I have grieved it. I have moved on. And then the universe, in its infinite and chaotic wisdom, led me to Lollo Rosso. Warm. Cozy. Espresso cups literally everywhere you look like some kind of caffeinated shrine to the Italian soul. The kind of place that already has you smiling before the food arrives, before you've done anything to deserve it, just because something in your nervous system recognizes that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. And then the carbonara arrives. And I want to be very precise about what happened next. I went completely silent. My friends got concerned. They thought something was wrong. What they could not have known is that I had already left my body. Fully. Completely. Astral projected into some shimmering realm of pure bliss that I did not know existed and that I am honestly still trying to find my wa

Absolutely incredible restaurant in the heart of a very pretty street. The staff are amazing and friendly and it’s a quaint little bar. The carbonara is delicious and great wine selection. My favourite is the baby tiramisu Nice outdoor area and small quaint indoor seating. If you like a homely vibe that’s very relaxed this is the place for you. They speak good English also

For just over 10€ I had an Espresso, fried egg with bacon, and croissant. A cozy little place with nice decor and some chill hip hop playing softly, this is the kind of place I would go to have a coffee and chat with a friend. I don't think the inside is very child-friendly, in case that's something you need, but there are seats and little tables outside that could accommodate the space needed. The service spoke English and German, and was friendly. The espresso was good (I don't know too much about espresso, so I can't give a good opinion of it), the egg was perfectly cooked (sunny-side up). The croissant was good too but maybe a smidge undercooked. The buttery flaky outside made up for that for me. Overall, I'd say this was a very good experience for me and I'd recommend it!

The food and drinks are not delicious but simply good. The male staff is not overly friendly but attentive and sometimes that’s all you want for a cafe. The atmosphere inside is absolutely lovely. They use lots of motif of Italy. And it’s quite comfortable to stay inside.
