About Hotel Platin
Located at Donaustaufer Str. 224, 93055 Regensburg, Hotel Platin operates as a hotel serving Regensburg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.
No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. The listed phone number is 0941 78459500. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is hotel-platin.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
With 3.9 out of 5 on Google from 247 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for hotels in Regensburg. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.
Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Regensburg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

The friendly staff compensates the small room, bizarre design, no elevator, and an 'interesting' location. Staying one night is fine though. I guess it is a good value for your money in comparison to other hotels. The staff actually goes an extra mile to please you.

We loved staying here. We spent just one night in our way to Prague. It was exactly what they offer in the internet. However, it is important to highlight staff kindness and well intended, cleanliness is the best we found in our recent vacation time, it was really nice to lie down on the bed and feel the aroma in the linens. Breakfast was very good. We really loved the place.

The lady running the place was lovely and very warm hearted. The room was clean, however lacked basic things like hair dryer, kettle would have been nice to have these little touches considering it's quiet a distance from places to eat etc Location wise wasn't great, you can walk into Regensburg however it is approx 50 minute walk. There is a bus just round the corner which is helpful, but if u had your own car their would be no issue. In the near by business park there are a mixture of restaurants so u can eat there handy enough. Locals told me it was a brothel not so long ago the interior does suggest this may have been the case.
