About Hotel Kühbacher

Located at Ludwigstraße 6, 94032 Passau, Hotel Kühbacher operates as a hotel serving Passau in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under spa, lounge für reisende, wellnesshotel, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.

No opening hours are on file. You can reach Hotel Kühbacher on 0171 1200746; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, hotel-kuehbacher.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 88 reviews, which is a strong result for a hotel in Passau and suggests consistent service.

Passau is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Passau is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

The rooms were clean, but extremely small. The hotel staff, especially the man with tattoos, were very unfriendly and made me feel unwelcome, almost as if I had stayed there for free.Breakfast was disappointing and not good at all; I actually left the hotel still hungry and with a very unpleasant feeling. The wellness area was also not inviting and did not make me want to use it. So for €130 per night, this was a huge disappointment. Luckily, I stayed only one night

Ganz wunderbares Hotel direkt in Passau.

Avoid Room 210. They seem to be going for a shabby chic vibe but only managed shabby. The room was on two levels and posed a real night time hazard if you needed to use the loo when it was dark and you were not fully awake. The finish of the room was very poor: shower door did not close and the gap where it was hinged to the wall was such that the floor got soaking wet. The sealant around the toilet door architrave and wall was badly done and there was a large gap where the architrave was not flush with the wall on the outside. The armchair was badly sprung and uncomfortable. The shower was glass walled and open to the room, affording no privacy. Worst was the rough concrete ceiling over the bed. Very off putting, especially considering you could see where chunks had fallen off. The one saving grace is that the mattress was very comfortable, but still not worth a hefty £163 per night. And this was described as a "Deluxe" room!

Simply amazing. Redone entirely in April 2025, Hotel Kübachar is modern, sleek, has a great staff, an awesome spa (no add'l cost!) and a fantastic restaurant right downstairs (Bar & Grill Rosa, see my review). The hotel is contemporary; the rooms are comfortable and quiet. And the spa! Two dry saunas with different temps and a steam sauna, relaxation area, showers, and...wait for it...stainless-steel full-sized pool. All of which connects to the roof-top sitting area. And all accessible at no added cost to hotel guests. Hotel Kübachar is one those great finds. We were in Passau for a river cruise leaving a couple of days later...it was perfectly located near the confluence of Passau's three rivers with lots of great sightseeing as well as the modern MediaMarkt market (becuase we all forget something!) a short walk away. I highly recommend Hotel Kübachar and will definitely stay there again given the occassion.

honestly, our stay at this hotel was a big letdown, especially after reading so many great reviews. My wife and i were shocked when we walked into our room. It was small, not very clean ,and had a bad smell that jsut wouldn't go away.Room service was awful (a 1/10 at best), and to make things worse ,the waiter at the restaurant he was rude to us.the food was another dissappintment definitely not worth the price.as we ended up paying a lot for something that was cold and not enjoyable.
