Passau is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice new hotel in excellent location: Leave your vehicle in the underground garage and hop on a bus (four bus lines stop just steps from the hotel, main station is one bus stop away) Service is helpful and friendly, rooms have AC but might be a bit on the small side for some travelers. Add a fully stocked bar and breakfast area including children play area, a Biergarten style outdoor area, and you have yourself a very versatile place, whether you are are traveling on two, four wheels, public transportation or by ship on the Danube.

We were passing through and booked a stay here. I am giving this accommodation 1 star because the room was unbearably hot. The windows could not be opened, so there was no fresh air. The air conditioning did not cool the room properly, and sleeping with the air conditioning on all night does not seem healthy to me and it makes a lot noice. I was unable to sleep because of the heat. In addition, the doors were extremely heavy — it felt more like a bunker than a hotel. For these reasons, I will not be returning.
