Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–6 pm. It is closed on Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0172 7539686. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, gimbabcafe.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 80 reviews, which is a strong result for a café in München and suggests consistent service.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

I like this café. Calm, chilly, quick service during lunch time. The food was fresh and delicious, the tea I ordered was also very tasty. Next time I’ll be sipping it longer and don’t drink all at once, since I was in a hurry. Definitely cute cafe to just wind down and have some book with and spend some time here. Very pleasant! ✨🥰

After going couple of times to South Korea, we were nostalgic and looking for similar flavors here at home. Gimbab tasted fresh and not heavy, we had also the combos were well balanced and come with jang on the side. Unrelated note: I was quite happy to try Taro Latte again. Café Gimbab was a nice surprise, and the staff is very friendly and polite. We will definitely come back!.

I didn't like the food, not salty rice floating in average teriyaki sauce with 2 leaves of bok choy and tasteless chicken. The price was 12-13 euros. The atmosphere is nice and fancy. In my subjective opinion it is overpriced for such food.

The cafe that I want to go to every day! The food such as gimbap, udon, and burger are so delicious, and the dessert is also the best. Especially, the bungeoppang and chocolate cake taste fantastic. And I am so happy while I am at the cafe because the owner is so kind. I really love the Kimbab cafe♡♡
