Very cute, cozy little bar. It’s small, but we managed to find space easily enough. Four of us had one drink each, and we did a simple birthday toast with the Pink Fizzy. Good vibe, no unnecessary fuss.

Finally a cool wine bar in Cologne but… First time was excellent and thought it would become my go-to place. Following visits were more and more disappointing. Staff ignoring us when we arrived and respecfully waited before seating at any table. Same when we wanted to order. And then you pay 8 euros for two slices of cheese. The concept is nice but it sadly ends up being a bittersweet experience.

The space looks modern and promising, but unfortunately the experience felt quite closed. I sat at the bar right after opening and, while I was given a menu, there was no guidance. When I asked about the wines, I was directed to read the menu rather than being introduced to the selection. Only after explicitly asking did I receive detailed explanations and tastings, which I appreciated… but it didn’t come naturally. I also ordered the “Kartoffel bread” after it was described as sourdough-style bread with potato flour. What arrived was a very standard German bread, which was disappointing, especially since I made the choice based on that description. The butter served alongside it was a simple, unworked slab, and together the bread and butter felt surprisingly uninspired for a €6 offering. During almost an hour at the bar, I wasn’t checked on once - not if everything was okay or if I’d like another glass. The atmosphere felt distant, with the staff focused on a laptop rather than on guests. For a natural wine bar with a curated concept, I missed hospitality, openness and a sense of connection. The wine selection is excellent, with some great options available by the glass. The location is very nice, with small tables set out on the street. Service was a bit slow and not very warm, we waited more than 20 minutes just for a plate of olives.

Love this place and love its people! Fantastic natural wine options, location, set-up, and ambience. The bar is a vibe. Definitely coming back.
