HYROX Berlin at Tempelhof was a fantastic venue. Super well organised, spacious, and the outdoor running on the historic airfield made for a unique race experience. Having some of the stations outside was a great touch too. It was a little hot and humid on the day, but there were plenty of water stations throughout the course, and the volunteers were friendly, supportive, and always ready to help. The massive Roxzone created an incredible atmosphere from start to finish. Definitely a venue I’d love to race again.

The 2 hour English guided tour of Tempelhof Airport is worth a visit, whether you’re interested in architecture, design, photography, history, or simply curious. From the preserved architectural elements to the veiled atmosphere, the space feels like a frozen memory of Berlin’s layered and intertwined history.

The guided tour of Tempelhof was a really great experience and definitely worth doing. The tour lasted around 2 hours, and throughout the walk you get to explore parts of this massive, monumental building while learning so much about its fascinating and complex history. What makes Tempelhof so impressive is not just its historical importance, but also its sheer size. Walking through it in person really gives you a sense of how enormous and architecturally significant the place is. The scale of the building is honestly hard to grasp until you’re inside it, it feels almost like a small city in itself. The guide made the experience even better by sharing interesting stories and historical context about the airport’s past, from its role in aviation history to its connection to major events in Berlin’s history. It was both informative and atmospheric, and it gave a much deeper appreciation for the site beyond what you see from the outside. Overall I really enjoyed it. If you’re interested in history, architecture, or seeing a different side of Berlin, I would definitely recommend the Tempelhof guided tour.

Took an English speaking tour. Probably one of the better walking tours in Berlin. The guide was excellent and enthusiastic about the airport. Provided the group with experience knowledge and fun facts. We took the U-Barn, the station is right next to the airport. Highly recommend

Took the English language tour (required advanced purchase). Very intelligent, knowledgeable guide whose voice was always clear and easy to hear in all locations. Tip: don’t try to sidle up to a tour group without having had checked in. Upon entry into the structures, we were required to show we had on our colored wrist band. Tip two: MUST be ok going up and down 5+ flights of stairs and navigating narrow, darkened hallways. Tip three: when you arrive by the large eagle head, walk towards the terminal, the back left side and go inside to check in. Very welcoming staff inside (if you need the bathroom, don’t go inside but instead look to the left by the small car passage). Very well run organization overall.
