For a night out or a family day in Berlin, venues like this one are best checked for opening times and events on the day itself, since programmes change. U-Bahn and S-Bahn services run through the night at weekends in the big cities, with night buses elsewhere, so plan the trip home.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. Getting around Berlin is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Berlin and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Borsigturm in Berlin really stood out to us — we loved the architecture and the entire industrial atmosphere of the area. There's something raw yet elegant about the old brick structures and how they blend with the modern surroundings. Walking around there during sunset made it even more impressive; the golden light brought out all the textures and details of the tower and nearby buildings. An interesting fact: Borsigturm was actually the first high-rise building in Berlin, completed in 1924. It was part of the Borsigwerke factory complex, which used to be one of the largest locomotive producers in Europe. That industrial legacy still lingers in the area and gives it a unique, authentic Berlin vibe.

Just like a castle entrance. Well preserved. The area is clean and has some spots for bikes and resting. Around the area you'll find some nice restaurants and malls.
