Travel businesses in München serve both domestic and international visitors. Compare the rate here with the property's own website before you commit, check the cancellation terms and keep a copy of your booking. Deutsche Bahn fares are cheapest weeks ahead as Sparpreis tickets, the Deutschlandticket covers local and regional transport for a flat monthly fee, and peak periods such as Easter, Whitsun, the July-August holidays and Advent fill popular destinations months ahead.
Opening hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in München keep standard hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on the weekly Ruhetag, on Sundays and over the Christmas and Easter holidays. With 3.7 out of 5 on Google from 11 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for hostels in München. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

If you want a place in Munich that feels like a hidden gem, a family kitchen, and a traveler’s cheat code all at once, Estelada Hostel in Berg am Laim is exactly that. The Tram Situation Is INSANE (In the Best Way) Let me start with the wildest part: the tram stop is literally in front of the hostel. You walk out, cross the street, 30 seconds, and boom, you’re on the tram. Tram 21 runs 24 hours, every 10 minutes, which is unheard of convenience for Munich. From there: - 3 stops → cool local spots & nearby views - 10 stops → Marienplatz, the absolute city center - Total travel time: under 20 minutes For travelers, workers, night owls, early birds, this is a dream setup. And yes, the sources confirm the hostel is extremely well‑connected to public transport, especially Munich Ost and tram lines. The Hostel Itself, Clean, Calm, and Shockingly Friendly Estelada is known for being: - Very clean - Quiet and organized - Equipped with a great shared kitchen - Run by super friendly staff Multiple guests highlight the warm, helpful reception and the calm, international atmosphere. And honestly? That matches my experience perfectly. This place feels family‑oriented in the best way , p

I decided to stay in Estelada because I was doing a course in the city and needed a calmer place than a regular hostel. I am happy to say I made the right choice, the place was pretty silent during the night (of course, until around 11/12pm you can hear some noise, but nothing crazy as other hostels. I was in a 4 room dorm but usually only shared with one or two people max. The bedroom was really nice, with a mini fridge, a table and a small couch. Beds are good quality, and you get a lot of space to keep your staff. They give towels, and the bathrooms were also always in good condition. There is a huge dinning area and kitchen to make your own food. Would totally recommend
