About Die Kuchenmeisterei

Die Kuchenmeisterei is a café in München, Bayern. It is listed at Agnes-Bernauer-Straße 122, 80687 München-Laim, which places it among the local businesses of München that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–4:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 220 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafés & kaffee in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The place is beautiful, which is why I don’t agree with some of the other reviews. Its slightly aged aesthetic and small seating area create a warm, intimate, and nostalgic atmosphere. In my opinion, this perfectly complements the traditional flavors they serve. The owner is an absolute gentleman, very kind and clearly passionate about his work. It was genuinely enjoyable to sit there and watch him take the time to speak with each customer individually. That personal attention adds so much character to the experience. The cakes, the ambiance, and the overall cozy energy truly make you feel as if you’ve stepped into a time tunnel. In a city increasingly dominated by trendy, new-generation breakfast spots and specialty coffee shops, this place is a refreshing and delightful alternative. I really appreciate what they’re doing. The only small thing I would have preferred is coffee prepared with a professional barista machine, but that’s completely understandable. After all, it’s a pastry shop, and it makes sense that their priority is their cakes. I will definitely visit again.

Highly recommended place for a brunch/breakfast/coffee stop. Staff is kind. The place has a wide variety of cakes and also small menus for breakfast options. Overall, it was delicious. We got the Spanish Vanille and an Apfelkuchen

Had several cakes here over a few weeks because I thought that I may had a worse slice than everyone else. Although I really like the concept stated on their homepage, after several tries I think that the cakes here were all uninspired (regional recepies from granny) at mediocre taste and quality at an above average price. The interior seems to be from the 60s without renovation although the shop is only a few years old (opened 2020 or so). Seating is available, but very limited, it's a small shop. Staff was very friendly though and service quick.

Nice and cute cake shop that you should definitely stop by 🍰🧁🫶🏻 they have very delicious cakes (high quality but not super sugar-y which I loved it!! It’s so hard for me to find any shops with relatively light taste cakes), and very friendly staff. We tried their carrot 🥕 cake and cheese cake- highly recommended 🙌🏻

Very small bakery with not a lot of seating options available. But the quality of offered products is outstanding. You can really taste that everything is handmade with attention to the little details. It has been a long time since I've had tasted such a great cake! The only little downside for me is that they are using a fully automatic coffee machine and no portafilter machine. Nevertheless, they are using quality beans from Dinzler.
