Lovely to sit outside in the shade looking at a lovely church. The menu is a selection of casseroles or you can “build your own”. Great concept, and also means it can be great for meat eater to vegans. We had a DIY with potato, salmon, broccoli, cheese sauce & Gouda…. Totally delicious. We also shared a tart flambee… it was super crispy & also delicious. There’s a menu in English, the staff also speak great English & the service is kind & professional. Definitely worth the 5min walk from the tourist spots to eat here

We did not have a reservation and we were lucky to be able to walk in and be seated. We both really enjoyed our meals. We had an amazingly fresh green salad to start and then two different pasta casseroles. They both were excellent and yet very different from each other. Very fresh ingredients, delicious flavours and we would go back again in an instant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the meal was well priced.

The portion is so huge. They taste really good. It takes time to make.

This is a local casserole specialist at Peterplatz. They have a fair sized indoor seating area and are open from 12pm to 2.30pm (lunch) and 5.30pm to 11pm (dinner) each day. Reservations seem to be useful as they were very full both times we passed by recently. We decided to do take-away and enjoyed a delicious Vendura vegetarian casserole back in our apartment rental. The casserole was nicely packaged for take-away and remained hot for over half and hour. It tasted great. We also tried their Der Vegane flammkuchen, which was shaped like a classic pizza with with the signature wafer thin crust of tarte flambe. It was good as well. Would gladly dine at Der Auflauf or do take-away to enjoy in the comfort of rental apartment again next time we are in Würzburg.

Delicious! My mom has to eat gluten free and has other dietary restrictions and we found this restaurant which was perfect for her because she could make her own casserole. I got one of the pre-selected casseroles, the gnocchi salmon, and it was outstanding! My mom also loved her food. We were just passing through but if given the opportunity, I would eat here again and again. We also ordered some non-alcoholic drinks that were delicious!
