We came here for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, especially the Weißwurst, which was absolutely worth trying. The coffee was rich and full-bodied, just the way we like it. The highlight, however, was the view from inside the café—you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Glockenspiel while relaxing with your meal. Definitely a great spot for brunch in the heart of the city!

If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot in the heart of Munich, this café near Marienplatz is an absolute gem. Located right in the center and surrounded by the city’s main shopping streets, it offers a fantastic atmosphere, great views, and an extensive menu. I tried the French toast, Pasta Arrabbiata, cappuccino, and latte macchiato, and honestly, everything was outstanding. The French toast was the clear winner—creamy, indulgent, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the best I’ve had. Every dish and drink was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing. The staff were friendly, the service was efficient, and the location couldn’t be more convenient for a break while exploring the city. Whether you’re starting your day or taking a break from shopping around Marienplatz, this café is a must-visit. Amazing food, great coffee, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We wanted to try the weißwurst (white sausage) breakfast at least once while in the Bavarian region, and this place did not disappoint. Along with the weißwurst, it comes with sweet mustard to pair with it and a pretzel. You can also request additional sausages (around €3 extra) and extra pretzels if needed. The recommended drink with this dish is a wheat beer, which is an odd choice to me for breakfast, but it somehow worked. Overall, a great experience and something I’d gladly do again. Also to note: the cafe is not on the ground floor, you have to take an elevator up a few floors, but depending on where you sit, you may have a decent view of Marienplatz down below.

Wonderful breakfast in the heart of Munich old town. Unassuming from the ground just off the main square but once up the 5 stories to the restaurant it was fabulous. Highly recommend the set breakfasts

Stopped here for dessert after dinner and overall had a nice experience. Finding the café was a bit confusing at first as you follow the signs inside the building and take the lift up, but it’s not immediately obvious where you’re going. Once up there, it makes sense though. A must if you can, try to sit on the side overlooking Marienplatz, which is a really nice view. Unfortunately, it was full when we arrived, so we were seated on the other side, which is more enclosed and doesn’t have much of a view. We had two coffees and two strudels (around €28 total). Slightly on the expensive side for what it is, but the strudel itself was excellent 👌🏻 really well made and definitely worth trying. Service was the only downside. It felt a bit cold and uninterested, which takes away from the overall experience a little. Still, for the location and the quality of the strudel, it’s worth a visit, just don’t expect particularly warm service.
