Located at Schumannstraße 9, 81675 München, Beetle operates as a restaurant serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

Opening hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 5 pm–12 am. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0176 14168023. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, feinkost-kaefer.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 406 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in München and suggests consistent service.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

The food and ambiance is amazing. The speed at which the food is prepared unfortunately not. Even the dessert takes around 30 minutes to make. The place is half empty tho 🤔

Used to be the best restaurant in Munich, unfortunately not anymore. The wine pairing was a let down, the sommelier barely asked what type of wine we like and he was already opening a bottle. We rejected the wine and then took two meals until the next bottle arrived. The biggest let down was the main dish: asparagus with potatoes, something you can find in any German restaurant for 16€. Unfortunately the restaurant is only a shadow of what it used to be some years ago, in 2022/2023 it was always full and the food was espectacular. Considering they are only using regional seasonal ingredients, one has to like German cuisine and German flavors to enjoy. I don't think the meals and wine were worth the price unfortunately. The experience of being there is still great.

I have been to Beetle on 2 occasions, and both times with a large party. The Beetle team creates a welcoming, friendly, experience paired with a regional menu that delivers understated excellence. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing, and it's fun to see what a kitchen team can do with the fantastic ingredients available to the Käfer group. If you haven't been to the Beetle before, you should absolutely try it. However, what we found most remarkable was the willingness of the Beetle team to take on a special request to host a Thanksgiving (Turkey) feast for our little group this past November. They took on the challenge and cooked a large roasted turkey, stuffing, and traditional fixings for 10 people. Roasting turkeys is tricky business, but they managed to deliver a moist bird, brined to perfection. The sides and the presentation of this dinner was equally memorable, with a few interesting twists to typical dishes - we were truly impressed. Many thanks to the Beetle Team and to Chef Schneider - we'll be seeing you again soon!

What we liked - vegan options and menu - price vs quality is good - nice interior - very polite and friendly staff What we did not like - we ordered the 4 course menu (70EUR) and our main and starter was forgotten, meaning that it took around 1H to get the main and around 40 min to get the soup. We arrived at 7 pm and our main came shortly after 9. The staff tried to compensate but it is really unfortunate mistake that can ruin the dinner experience especially when it's an anniversary and when it is not cheap (1 star less) - the food was super tasty and we liked it a lot but we expected somehow something more special, some magic (1 star less) - if you sit at the 2 person tables, you can listen to all the partner tables as they are a bit close Overall I can recommend the restaurant but next time I was ask way earlier were the next course is

My partner and I recently dined at this restaurant, a place known for its intriguing fixed menu concept. As vegans, we were eager to explore the culinary creations this establishment had to offer. However, our evening turned out to be a mixed bag, with some glaring issues that left us disappointed. To start, we waited at our table for a rather frustrating 15 minutes before a waiter finally arrived to explain how the fixed menu worked. This initial lack of attention to our table set the tone for the rest of the evening. The biggest letdown was the food itself. While some dishes looked appealing, not everything lived up to our expectations. The mushroom dish, in particular, was a low point; it was simply inedible, and we couldn't bring ourselves to finish it. Additionally, each dish took an excruciatingly long time to arrive at our table, stretching our dining experience to almost three hours, even after we raised our concerns. Furthermore, some dishes had overpowering flavors, making them challenging to enjoy. The saving grace of our meal was the delightful combination of fresh bread and hummus, which was not only delicious but also the only reason we didn't leave the restaurant
