For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. The listed phone number is 089 322128210. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is bambergerhaus.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 2,751 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in München and suggests consistent service.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

I attended a wedding at Bamberger Haus. The service was friendly (they remembered when guests wanted which wine, who drank no alcohol and much more), the food was excellent. The location is also very beautiful, well maintained next to a park. I will miss their food and recommend the place for festive events!

A nice location in a large walking park space. Good food (Currywurst, Pizza, Halbeshendl, etc.) and great Augustiner beer. The Winestübe makes a couple of excellent Lillet spritzers (berry and peach) that you had out to try. There's also an indoor area for colder months, and a playground for the kids. And no deposits on plates and glasses, either. How nice. About a 15 minute walk from the Milbertshofen U2 stop.

We had a truly wonderful evening at Das Bamberger Haus in Munich. The food was absolutely excellent, full of flavour, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. The Schnitzel with potato salad and the beef goulash with dumplings were particular standouts, cooked to perfection and deeply satisfying. What made our dining experience even more memorable was the exceptional service. Every member of the staff was warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere from the moment we walked in. A very special thank you to Giuseppe, who took outstanding care of us throughout the evening. He went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect, no request was too much, and his thoughtful recommendations truly elevated our experience. Giuseppe made us feel completely at home, and his attentiveness and charm were genuinely appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to Giuseppe and the entire team at Das Bamberger Haus. We're already looking forward to returning on our next trip to Munich.

Very cute beer garden. Had a nice cold beer on a hot summer day. Also had their pretzels. I enjoyed sitting out in the beer garden with everybody else. Ambience was really nice.

Hands down one of the best (if not the best) Wiener Schnitzels in Munich. The batter is light, crisp and evenly coated around a really tender and moist escalope of veal. The fried potatoes that accompany it are also pretty solid, delivering a firm yet easy to bite spud that is crisp around the edges. Ambience here is also lovely, being in an old, beautifully decorated chateau. Only gripe is that the desserts here do not quite live up to the quality of the schnitzel.
