Historic building with shared toilet and shower. Reasonably priced, you get what you pay for.

The Art Hotel is very centrally located and easily accessible in Passau. It's right on a little square with cafe's, ice cream cafe and a bar. Unfortunately the windows were single pane glass and you could hear everything that was going on in the quare outside. The bar is open until 11pm and there was even someone playing the accordeon at 10pm. It's great to be so centrally located but if you're looking for a quiet place to sleep you may be disappointed.

Nice room, central location, with bars shops and restaurants just outside the doorstep. Located in an historic building, do not expect an elevator to bring you up to the second or third floor. We had a great stay , the stuff was very friendly.

I debated whether to give this 5 stars or not, as for the type of hotel its great. I stayed in a hotel room with own shower. The room was nicely decorated with a big comfortable bed. Had storage, a table and large windows which you can open to get some cool air in. The shower room was small, but fine. 4 stars for service, I didn't see anyone as I left early and got back late and as i avoid people generally this was perfect, the communication for access was good and easy. The hotel is an old building and the floors do creak, which adds to the character, but I did hear people moving about at night - I was awake so it's not that loud to wake you. The location is great, very central there is a cool bar below the hotel and a cafe and ice cream parlour outside the front door. Easy walk to all attractions (except the castle at the top of the hill). I would stay again.
