Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The porc roast was good and the crackling Superb. Both dishes came out very fast The veal Schnitzel however was flawed. My first 2 bites where very stringy and I had them redo it. When the 2nd came it was only mildly better. The crust again superb but the cook didn't know how to treat the veal properly. I think he used the tenderizer roller on it in the direction of the grain instead across to cut the stringy fibers and didn't pound the meat at all. I was looking forward to the veal on the way out of Munich. I should have ordered the less expensive pork schnitzel and would have had a better experience. The waiter however was very nice and polite even before the return of the first veal dish. Service was good. Eating hall was empty which should have been a hint. And it was very hot. The airconditioning above is would have been useful had it been on. I ate and paid but I won't be back No idea where a 4.7 rating had come from.

Excellent restaurant with delicious food and very generous portions. Our waitress, Nargiz, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our experience even better. We really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic. When we are back in Munich, we will definitely come again for a meal. Highly recommended!

Probably one of the hidden gems of the center. The food vas very tasty with big portions. We had the Gordon bleu which was very good, I totally recommend it. I also recommend the other snitzels. In the last three days we've eaten at this location and everything was really good.

I enjoyed some if the best food I had here during my stay in Munich, my friends and I came here 4 times in one week because we enjoyed it so much. The lady who served us was very friendly and happy to engage us in conversation. Whilst the main menu might be pricey in places (although worth it) they offer daily deals which means you can enjoy a meal for a single digit price tag if you're on a budget. If you are staying nearby I'd certainly make a visit an essential part of your stay for authentic Bavarian food in a charming environment.
