It is a classic Bavarian restaurant/pub. You know what you are getting and Alter Simpl are doing a good job. I liked the food, especially the currywurst, but honestly can’t say the taste was groundbreaking. The beer was ok, I tasted better ones in Munich. Wad pleasantly surprised by the service - our lady server was very sweet: she let me practice my shreds of German 😅 and also spoke good English and helped us a lot with choosing our dishes. I also loved the atmosphere - it’s just one of those places, where you can spend hours investigating your surroundings. I think you can rate it 5 star, if you a big fan of classic Bavarian food, but I personally feel that dishes lacked nuance, hence the rating.

The location is great, and the service is really nice. The food is delicious, with large portions at great prices. They’re definitely busy! We were lucky enough to get a table when we arrived, but later on, we noticed it was packed, so I would recommend making a reservation. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy tasty food at a good price.

Accompanied by a pregnant lady we had a wonderful evening at this etablissement. The food - heavenly, the service - flawless. Unfortunately, card payment was not possible but lucky for us, our friend had just sold his PC for 550€ on ebay and carried lots of cash on him.

Retro interior. Bavarian pub where you can have a good meal. Offers vegetarian options as well. On weekends it is very crowded and loud. If you want to eat well and have a good beer, for not much money, this is the place for you. My recommendation.
