Very good beer and nice selection of dishes. Atmosphere is fantastic

Very pricey but simple dishes. A salad with beef strips costs about 20 Euro and so on.

One finds difficult to evaluate any atmosphere when the half of ordered dishes were not possible to have (schnitzel or kartoffelsalat is basic from already short menu...), waited almost an hour for another 2 basic dishes ...dishes arrived not together, making the situation even more uncomfortable... basically one person with the food waiting for the second with nothing.... after finally the second dish arrived we needed to wait another 5 minutes till the waitress guy understands we have no utensiles, he came with knifes saying forks also finished... and again waiting another without jokes 10 minutes for forks with food on the table getting cold.... after asking to pay another waiting.... it is at minimum ridicolous and a service level which is not able to reach the basics. A worthless experience unable to match even basic macdonalds.

Should be called Trinklokal & Wartezimmerkultur Ordered the Maracuja Pisco Cocktail. The glass was too big as there pisco to mixer ratio was too low. Our food took over one hour. We were 6 and 3 of us ordered salads. The waitress was nice and brought us bread. Our roasted potatoes was anything but roasted. They needed 20 more minutes and tasted boiled and oiled. My fish and gambas were well cooked but needed seasoning. Schnitzel was good with a balanced panade to meat ratio but again lacked salt. Would have been nice to know what the hold up was and be notified of the seitan to tofu switch before it was brought to the table. They asked the table next to us to leave while they were still eating for the next reservation despite the fact the customers also waited over an hour for their food.

Dornheim manages to combine the atmosphere of cafè, restaurant and bar. It is cosy, not too big and not too small but it's well-received so it might be good to make a reservation. It is nicely decorated, the service is friendly and polite, they have good wines and the food is excellent. In summer you can enjoy your snacks or dinner on the terrace.
