This place is only recommended if… You’re not hungry, and are happy to stay hungry all night long! You enjoy waiting for over 2 hours in an empty restaurant - for remarkably overpriced sushi and sashimi that never actually materialises! You don’t mind having a special birthday party being completely ruined! Yay! You enjoy hearing a stream of bizarre excuses from a belligerent staff and management who genuinely don’t seem to have a clue what’s going on! If that sounds a fun night out then this place is for you!! If, however, you prefer to go out for dinner and actually end up eating at some point then steer clear of this restaurant like the plague. There are many better options in the locality. It’s absolutely bizarre it’s so highly rated. .

The food and the service were absolutely excellent. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and easy to chat with. We chose the sushi omakase courses. The food was truly sublime; the cheff has absolutely ruined 'regular sushi' for us as the tastes and dishes he presented were just of another level. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to experience a traditional sushi restaurant. Big compliments to the entire staff for putting together such a find and relaxing dining experience.

We tried 7-course menu. The food was amazing, the best japanese food I tried in Cologne. The chef and personnel are very friendly and kind, the restaurant has very pleasant vibes. Toki make your dinning a truely incredible experience. Thank you!

We enjoyed the 7 course menu quite a lot. The sushi, the black cod and the eel were the best ones in our opinion.

Everything is amazing. I was completely surprised the first time I had a solo dinner at Toki. Sushi and beef tongue really impressed me. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely be back.
