SophienBäck was one of the best dining experiences we had in Würzburg. The restaurant has a cosy, traditional atmosphere that feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step in. The food was excellent—fresh, hearty and full of flavour. Every dish was well prepared and showcased authentic Franconian cuisine. The beer and wine selection paired perfectly with the meal. What stood out the most was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive and passionate about what they do. They made us feel comfortable throughout the evening and were happy to offer recommendations. If you’re looking for authentic local food in Würzburg with great hospitality and a charming atmosphere, I highly recommend SophienBäck. It’s definitely a place I’d love to visit again on my next trip.

SophienBäck is wonderful! It was one of the best experiences we had during our stay in Germany. Great people, super cozy and nice atmosphere, and delicious food! I am so glad we stopped in here while in Würzburg. If we are ever in the city again, we will definitely be coming back!

Amazing restaurant. I was staying in the apartments upstairs that they let out and decided to eat in their restaurant- and I have no regrets. It does incredibly tasty traditional food - often this can actually be hard to find on holiday but I found it! They were also very friendly and I was sat down with and talked through the dishes and what they recommend. Atmosphere was relaxed and it was a great place to sit outside in summer. Please go out of your way from the city centre to find this place!

The host is really nice, the food is also really nice❤️❤️ I really enjoyed every meal (I ordered 5 different kinds of menu) I had here!! You should come if you visit Wurzburg! The best!
