SIXT Autovermietung München Trudering

Terrible, we reserved car on Saturday, office doesn’t work, key machine doesn’t work, spent 3 hours with calls and going to another station, call, waiting 30 mins and got disconnected, went to another station to the train station, no cars there. Zero confidence that you can get your car

Left us stranded, do not use. Lost money and time. Showed up to pick up our car, buildling closed, no one at the counter to help us. There is a digital key pick up, but the system didn't let us do this and directed to speak to staff at the counter. We tried calling the listed help phone lines, but they weren't connecting. So we had to look around the street for someone to help us to call them. We finally found someone who let us use their phone, but the SixT service guy who answered was no help. He wouldn't give us a code to unlock the key at the digital pick up, nor send a worker to come at give us a key in person. We were put on hold on and off for 40mins, and no one could help us get the key. More frustrating was the fact that the actual car we booked was sitting in the carpark. Not able to get into our car, we were forced to cancel, and give this poor guy his phone back. Stranded, we had to walk around the suburb with all our luggage trying to find a rental place with a car available, and that we could afford. Ended up at Eurocar down the road with a lovely man, but had to pay more than double $$$ to hire a car on the spot. Super distressing as 2 young travellers.

The location has multiple pick up and drop off locations. Picked up a van and it was filthy with even used water bottles and crumbs in it. Exterior was also grimly and parked behind a hotel. Pick up was also delayed becuase I needed the sixt app to register and THEN se t me the QR code to get my keys. I had already preregistered and confirmed but nothing worked until I was in thebap and filled everything out again in the parking lost. Returning: the main lot to return is not accessible. The 2nd lot behind the hotel was filled. Finally, third lot under the hotel had space. Not directions where to put the key, but found the key box. Took timestamped photos of the van parked in in a Sixt lot and the key in the box as requested by support to ensure I would not be charged extra days. Terrible experience. Car ran okay tho, so a star for that and another for the support folks who were not rude (except for one).

Terrible experience with Sixt and this digital station. The vehicle (a Mercedes Vito) was extremely dirty and had loose, unsafe seats, which cost us over 4 hours trying to get help from multiple Sixt locations. Because of this we missed our event in Austria. After returning the car, their system falsely logged the return on the next day and is now trying to charge me extra. I contacted Sixt multiple times by phone and email, but got no help, no resolution or any type of refund for all the inconvinieces. Very disappointing service for a premium-priced rental company.

It was a great experience! Excellent service. Christina and other guy that receive me were kind and friendly, supporting me a lot in the instructions. It was a really wonderful experience. Thanks, Sixt!
