After an awful day of travel, we arrived at the Munich HBF office (about 100m from the exit of Munich HBF) to be greeted by Vjola. She was welcoming and very positive from the first moment. She listened and understood what we needed. She helped us complete everything and gave clear instructions for pick up and return of the car. I didn’t ever think that talking with a car rental person would be the best part of my day, however Vjola made that happen.

Be careful with hidden time traps at @SIXT / @SixtDE! ⚠️I booked a car in Munich from 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM the next day. The counter staff was efficient and handed me the keys 20 minutes early at 9:40 AM.I returned the car the next day exactly at my booked time of 10:00 AM. Instead of sticking to the reservation contract, SIXT used the 9:40 AM pickup time to claim I returned the vehicle "late" and billed me for a whole second day!Charging a customer an entire extra day for a 20-minute window—caused solely because your staff gave me the car early—is greedy, deceptive billing.Unless @SIXT customer support corrects this error and refunds the unfair charge, this will be my last time renting from them. Loyal customers deserve transparency, not automated cash grabs.

Way better than low costs, probably even costs similarly as there are no "hidden" costs. Car was great and options were premium. Digital check in is a serious time saver and one gets the chance to change reservation options such as tank fill even in the same day of return, showing there's no intention of ripping the customer off.

Be careful with Sixt Share – damage claim despite clear evidence of third-party fault I rented a Sixt Share vehicle in Munich in April 2026 via the Sixt app, parked it undamaged and properly ended the rental. One day later I received a damage invoice of 950 € for a broken side mirror. What makes this unacceptable: on the damage photos Sixt sent me themselves, a note from the actual person who caused the damage is clearly visible on the mirror – with an apology ("Sorry, Spiegel kaputt") and their contact details. A clear admission of guilt by a third party. Despite a detailed written statement via email and registered letter, Sixt never responded. Instead, I received a payment reminder. In my view, this is an intransparent and customer-unfriendly way of handling damage claims. I am now pursuing the case through the consumer protection agency and legal counsel. Note: Experience refers to the Sixt Share service (car-sharing via the Sixt app), operated by Sixt SE.

From the moment we arrived, Aisha made the pick-up process easy and pleasant. She was professional, helpful, and efficient, and took the time to walk us through the available options so we could choose the best car for our needs. Everything was handled quickly and clearly, which made check-in seamless and got us on the road in no time. This was an excellent rental experience, and after this, we will only be choosing Sixt for our future rentals
