I come here every week for lunch and it’s always great. The owners are such a lovely couple, and create a very welcoming atmosphere. I usually get the chicken shawarma, and it’s inarguably one of the best options in the area. The meat is always fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, you can really taste the difference in quality compared to other places nearby. It’s also the perfect portion for lunch: filling, but not so heavy that you feel tired afterward. Simple, fresh, consistently good food and really kind people running it. Definitely recommend.

We tried this place based on Google reviews. It was only a 20 minute stroll from our hotel, through Volkspark Friedrichshain. When we arrived the restaurant was empty. The couple who owned it gave us a warm welcome and greeted us in English when they realised we did not understand German. We went for the vegetarian platter for two. It was delicious and very generously portioned. 3 falafel and 3 halloumi each, with grilled vegetables, foul medames, tabbouleh, hummus, fresh salad, dips and bread. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We loved it and would hope to return again if we come back to Berlin in future. Other diners arrived after us and their food looked and smelled delicious too. We would fully recommend the vegetarian platter!

The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich Egyptian flavors and perfectly cooked. Every dish felt authentic and fresh, especially the spices and traditional recipes. The service was excellent, staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was comfortable throughout the visit. Overall, a wonderful dining experience I would happily recommend.

Today I visited an Egyptian restaurant in Berlin. I had been craving authentic Egyptian food for a long time, and luckily I found a place close to the hotel where I am staying called Meya Meya. The owner is Egyptian, his name is Mina, and he is also the chef. I had authentic Egyptian koshari, as well as a mixed plate of falafel, fava beans, eggplant, French fries, and fresh green salad with tahini. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted just like homemade Egyptian food. The restaurant’s decor is simple with a lovely Egyptian touch. Most of the guests were German, which shows how much the food is appreciated by everyone. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and cleanliness, which were both excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is craving authentic Egyptian cuisine. Thank you very much to the owner and chef Mina and his wife. I wish them continued success and prosperity.
