1-Star Review: Avoid Refurbished Apple Watch from MediaMarkt – Warranty Nightmare Bought a refurbished Apple Watch SE 2 (44mm) online in July 2025 for €290. Within months: battery dropped to 96%, pulse sensor wildly inaccurate (120bpm → 58bpm drops, no detection after 15min sport at 80% battery), laggy performance, wrong band shipped. Service disaster: • Filed claim Feb 24, 2026 (store pickup Bergedorf). Sent to Erfurt workshop. • They lied (“97% battery, works fine”), refused to test health sensors, pushed to Apple. • Apple confirmed perfect fit via video call, punted back to MediaMarkt. • 6+ weeks of radio silence, back-and-forth emails. Finally offered store credit only (no cash refund despite legal right), but backed down for some reason. Now fighting for full refund + costs via consumer protection. Total waste of time. MediaMarkt dodges warranty responsibilities – go direct to Apple Store instead. Refurbished here = high risk, zero support.

Very bad service towards customers. Too much waiting time. I wanted to change my display of my phone which I bought from mediamark last year. Without even listening what I have to say or what they can do to help me. They ask me to buy a new phone. Unfriendly staff

Waited for 10-15min near the SmartWatch section. No staff around to support. When I found one he says that's not his department and he can't help, didn't bother to make an attempt to help. Why the hell would I go to a store if the key aspect of service doesn't exist! I might as well go to online retailers.

When my wife and I purchased a Dryer in Regensburg on 3 Dec 2022 the salesman told us that the product was an online purchase but we can pay for it in the store which we did. We asked the salesman if our old Dryer will be taken away when the New one is delivered and he said yes. Unfortunately that was not the case and I wanted to find out why it wasn't picked up. I called Media Markt customer service and they told me to go online and complete the formula for Recycling old electronics equipment which I did. I then receive an email confirmation that it was received and that a second email will notify me if my request for pick-up was approved. The email came the next day saying it wasn't approved because it was missing information but doesn't say what information it needed. I was told twice by customer service that Media Markt will contact me about the situation and this was 3 days ago and I'm still waiting.🤨

Be very Careful! Their Sales representative will inform you that you have two weeks to return a item but then when you go to return it they will tell you can not, even if you are with in the two weeks and the item doesn’t seem to be working to it’s standards. We actually will talk to a lawyer because of this situation. You can not sale something in Germany that you have told the customer they have the right to return then not let them return it. If a store does this they should be held accountable because it is sales fraud and then it becomes a time consuming legal process. Honestly we have bought a lot of stuff from this store but it’s the first time I bought something I was not satisfied with so please beware you can not return items at this store even if their sales representative tells you a LIE that you can ! There are other stores to buy from in Germany Conrad , Saturn , Tuvi , and You can also order online from www. Otto.de they are very great at returning something if you are unsatisfied within your two weeks.
