I have had a traumatic birth, effectively without any working analgesia due to misplaced epidural needle with a Hebamme team unwilling to explore alternatives (despite clear pain signals and request for analgesia- assisted pain free birth) and a minor complication in placenta (second pregnancy) requiring multiple screening, demoralizing experience by the attending physician in the screening process (told to walk across the room without any cover in my partner’s presence, condescending tone). St Joseph concluded on the placenta complications within minutes with ultrasound while treating me with utmost respect. Long waiting time at AVK without expectation setting or interim updates. Actually, most steps of my journey were horrendous at AVK until post-partum care, across the Obstetrician screening the placenta to the Anesthesiologist who was abundantly threatening and condescending in his tone for not knowing how to arch my back for the needle placement, and the birthing Hebamme panel who simply doubled down to carrying on with an excruciating labour and birth… I had all risk factors for a back labour and yet ended up birthing with epidural turned off. Я обратилась в амбуланцию в связи с маточным кровотечением. В практике недалеко от дома меня не смогли принять, так как я не являюсь их пациентом и направили меня в эту больницу. Администраторы (медсестры) доброжелательные, говорят на английском и немецком, сам зал ожидания также чистый и светлый. У меня взяли почти сразу кровь, я заполнила анкету и далее ожидала. Через 2 часа мне сообщили, что моя кровь в порядке, поэтому принять меня не могут и я должна обратиться к гинекологу в праксис. На мой ответ, что я пока не имею гинеколога в Берлине, так как нахожусь тут недавно, ответили, что ничем не могут помочь. Провести УЗИ органов малого таза тоже отказались. Я осталась в растерянности, так как вышел замкнутый круг - в праксисах отказываются принимать новых пациентов, а в отделении гинекологии мне также отказали в обследовании.

Trotz extremer Auslastung im Kreißsaal, es waren zeitweilig keine CTG Plätze frei, war das komplette Team, Hebammen, Ärztin, Hebammenschülerinnen immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Trotz unserer Umstände haben wir uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Eine der wenigen Kliniken, die ambulant einen Ballonkatheter setzen. Vielen Dank ans gesamte Team,

our first child was born there with great and professional support and care. The Hebamme, Schwester-and-Pfleger team are sympathetic and very helpful, a big THANK YOU to them!

Ein super tolles Team in der Geburtsmedizin. Wir haben uns bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Hebammen haben alles für eine wunderbare Geburt getan. Ein Pluspunkt auch für den Kreißsaal, angenehme Atmosphäre und man hat die Möglichkeit zwischen Bett, Tuch, Ball etc.. zu wählen.

We were there for around 3 days. All the staff were amazing, very caring, extremely helpful, 24/7 support for us in this crazy process. The facilities and rooms were nice, all with a good view out into the surrounding trees. All round a great experience 💜

Very very very nice staff, speaking several languages. Rooms lack consideration for yellow lights in baby’s eyes.
