If you consider taking classes at Horizonte School, you should know that: 1) they have the best teachers ever, 2) the office staff are amazing and helpful, 3) when you rent a room, the school is on the same floor, 4) you’ll meet fantastic new people, 5) you’ll have a lot of fun, 6) you won’t regret it. I had an opportunity to study at Horizonte twice. It really helped me improve my German skills. I highly recommend this school. It is run by an experienced and qualified team.

My wife and I have spent almost a full year here in the immersive Horizonte Sprachschule and we both highly recommend this school. The majority of students come for a few weeks or a couple of months to brush up or begin learning German. Some students are using their vacations to start, continue or refresh their German language skills. Other students are at such an impressive high level of aptitude that they are seeking C1/C2 fluency for their future professional careers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. With almost 40 years of success, it’s no wonder why we keep hearing how many times other students have returned. In fact, we first learned about this school from our niece. Since we are ~60-year-old students, we quit our jobs early, rented out our house and enrolled in Horizonte on a student visa for almost a full year to learn German. By the way, we weren’t the oldest students either. My wife has many relatives in Germany and so besides just loving the diversity of other cultures, that was the big reason for us to learn German. Love it! I attended this school for almost one year and must say it was one of the best experiences of my life! Everyone is so friendly and warm 🥰 They don't only teach German in the classroom, they also make sure you use it outside of it! Every week you can take part of various activities like bowling, cooking, ice skating, picnics, movies, etc~ They even offer private courses and preparation courses for the Telc Test. I prepared and aced my Telc Deutsch B2 Prüfung with them ^^ Here you will get to know some cool places and meet new people from different countries. If you are looking for a fun course full of free time activities to improve your German, then I think Horizonte is right for you 😉

Over the years I have taken both Spanish and German language courses at 32 language schools in Mexico, Spain, the USA, Austria, and Germany. Name the school and I have probably been there. Horizonte remains at the top of my list for its great instructors, affordability, location, and above all for its unique on-premises student housing. From day one you are living next door to and socializing with an amazing collection of highly motivated students of all ages from throughout the world. Do yourself a favor and give Horizonte a try.

There are many reasons why I return to Horizonte year after year, as many reviewers have also stated: The class size is small, usually 6-12 students from many nations, which contributes to a unique life and learning experience. The staff are friendly, helpful, and strive to make everyone feel comfortable. The teachers are experienced, motivated, and create a fun and yet challenging class experience. Their instruction is an excellent mix of German grammar instruction, vocabulary learning, and conversational practice. The after class led activities are varied and include trips to museums, historical sites, German companies and movies, and nearby towns. Saturday day trips include taking the train to cities such as Munich, Nürnberg, and Passau or bus and boat rides to out of city sites. Regensburg is a scenic, walkable city with medieval towers, a magnificent cathedral and an old stone bridge over the Danube river with clothing shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and beer gardens filling in the gaps.
