GALERIA Köln Hohe Straße

GALERIA Köln Hohe Straße is a very large department store with a wide range of great products. They have an impressive selection across different categories. During my visit, I ended up buying some clothes, a few toys, and even a Samsonite backpack—which was definitely not cheap, but the quality and selection were excellent. The store offers a great variety of brands and items, so it’s easy to spend quite some time browsing. The only downside was that there didn’t seem to be enough staff available to help customers when needed. Overall though, I had a good shopping experience and would definitely visit again when in Cologne.

I visited yesterday and enjoyed it very much! The Christmas gifts and decorations are absolutely amazing this year, I love them! I especially appreciated the supermarket floor, which offers an impressive selection of products from my favourite brands like Lindt, Bahlsen, and Kägi. To my surprise, I even found Loacker products, which genuinely made me happy! I hope you will consider expanding the Loacker range and adding Tortina and Gardena in the future. The staff were also very friendly, and the cashier was smiley and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Galeria Kaufhof is a large, well-stocked department store with a variety of clothing, cosmetics, home goods, and electronics. The central location makes it a convenient stop while shopping in the city. However, the store feels a bit outdated, and the prices are often higher than what you’d find in other shops or online. The customer service can be hit or miss—some staff are helpful, while others seem uninterested. The food section and gourmet floor are a highlight, offering a good selection of international and local products. But overall, it’s just a standard department store experience without anything particularly exciting.

Beautiful place to shop. Everything clean and tidy. Well organised.

Lovely department store with anything you can ask for. It is still one of my favorite things to do when in Germany as it reminds me of the pre-mall days back home. Only knocking one star off as I wish they had better signage to guide you to different departments.
