Edeka Stengel

This profile explores gastro-cultural standards, currently in Nuremberg. Among the local markets, Edeka is the only one that fully passed the freshness test: no returns due to improper handling of the cold chain, and every product meeting expectations. All praise goes to the staff, the well-organized space, and the cleanliness of the baskets. What makes the difference is the absence of stress: the meat smells fresh, the raspberries are not spoiled the moment you leave the store, and shopping becomes a calm, reliable experience. When all is added up, this consistency shows the strength of good management. Other markets could certainly learn from these managers – many of whom, interestingly, have Balkan roots.

Very rude to those in need. Bad place! Don't go here. Bad quality products, expired goods...All the bad you can imagine bundled into one.

If you are looking for a nice experience in this grocery store then rethink your decision of shopping here. The food is mostly overpriced, most items are out of stock and the service is awful. You are treated terribly by the workers when you ask a question - they get annoyed for disturbing them from doing their job - but I admit nicer than other shopping centers in Germany. So when the new self checkout carts got installed I was excited to leave the store without getting a snotty face thrown at me or the items thrown at me by the checkout worker, unfortunately that simple common luxury did not deliver. The carts were poorly designed for it beeps every two seconds. Every single item you lay in the cart weighs the grocery and if the weight doesn’t match the screen beeps loud, gives an error, and you have no way to fix it yourself but to ask a worker - which is usually dreadful for they are rude and assume you are trying to steal. I can understand the desire is to reduce theft but if this store is to have new upgrades they should do it right - and put the customer first- or set up a company protocol for the workers to treat the customer right. I definitely know about the staff shortag

2 stars only, mostly because of their Covid-19 measures. It is impossible to keep a distance at the checking out/payment point. The way they it is set, you have to bump and touch other clients. You just can't keep the safety distance. Other than that, some products are 0,30€ overpriced and you can find them at other supermarkets for that less... same product, same brand... Distance between ailes is tightier compared to other Edeka stored. Feels like they wanted to put more in but it all looks so full and crowded. Edeka in Oberasbach/Zirndorf looks much more organized and calmer to go in for shopping.

Infinite options here - well organized and next to other stores. Parking space available.
