I had an amazing experience getting my tattoo done by Chris in Berlin! 😊 Chris was very kind, patient and is so talented. He made me feel comfortable from the very beginning and the whole session had such a relaxed and positive vibe. The tattoo turned out absolutely beautiful — even better than I imagined. You can tell he puts a lot of care and passion into his work. I left the studio feeling super happy and grateful. Highly recommend if you are looking for someone who combines skill, creativity, and a really thoughtful approach. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I got my finger tattoos in this studio about 4 months ago. I know finger tattoos are something not every artist is willing to do because of the chance of fading, or the fact they are always visible so people might regret them. Chris was open and willing to do this (he also has a lot on himself). I am very satisfied with the result and with every step of the process: the initial communication, the discussion about ideas, patiently trying out different symbols and positions until I was sure that's what I want, and the tattooing itself (wasn't painful). Chris was very friendly and open to speak English. I can only thank him for the patience, professionalism, precision and orientation to details. My tattoos are still perfect, there is no fading at all. The studio is big and comfortable with lots of interesting things to see or buy. I can recommend Chris to everyone.

I found Chris' tattoo shop online after a lot of research, I'm not a native German speaker and I was nervous about my tattoo wishes, Chris speaks great English and he was very willing to switch. He did an excellent job taking the inspiration photos I shared, with our consultation, and creating a beautiful tattoo for me. I wanted a mix between watercolour and realistic -- another reason to go to Chris Ape in Berlin, watercolour specialty. He also was sensitive to my pain threshold and had a good approach to time per sit. Chris has remained available since both sittings if/when I have questions and clearly explained care and healing. We had great chats while he worked, the shop itself is clean and nicely decorated, easy to access by S-Bahn to Charlottenburg. The price was reasonable for the time, effort, and colours (I counted 16 I think). Thanks again:)

My daughter's first tattoo was done here by Barbara, who was awesome. Patient, very nice and helpful, and her work is fantastic. Wanted to have her do a tattoo for me but we were out of time on our trip. I'd definitely go see Barbara if back in Berlin, and would recommend her and Chris Ape Tattoo to others. The space was comfortable, clean, and had loads of tattoo books and magazines to browse, as well as a video of them and their work at tattoo conferences, which was really cool. They responded to my email request for an appointment within a day and we're happy to squeeze us in. All around a great visit. Very happy!
