Bürgerpark Pankow is one of the most underrated green spaces in Berlin. The park offers a very balanced experience: wide open lawns, quiet walking paths, and some surprisingly unique features like the small animal enclosure with exotic birds and other animals. It creates a relaxed, almost park–zoo hybrid atmosphere, which is quite rare in the city. What stands out most is the diversity: Peaceful areas for walking or sitting alone Large open spaces ideal for relaxing or casual sports Family-friendly sections with animals that make it especially attractive for children The overall maintenance is good, and the park feels safe and well-structured. I also appreciated the mix of natural and designed elements — from classic park architecture to more informal, almost wild areas. A small downside: some areas (especially around the animal enclosures) could be cleaner and better maintained. However, this does not significantly impact the overall experience. Bottom line: A highly recommended spot if you’re looking for a calm, authentic Berlin park that is less crowded than the more famous ones, but still offers a lot of character

I come here quite often, usually during my lunch break for a light walk with colleagues. It’s a peaceful place and a nice way to step away from the desk for a bit. The park isn’t as large as others in Berlin, but it still feels open and never too crowded. There’s a small area with goats and sheep, which adds a bit of charm to the walk, especially if you bring kids. Spring is especially nice, with calm streams and fresh green surroundings and flowers. It really helps clear the mind in the middle of the day. It’s become a regular part of my workday, and I always enjoy spending a bit of time there.

A park that truly stops you in your tracks—inviting you to pause, admire, and absorb the beauty around you. The beautifully manicured gardens reflect the care and pride of the groundskeepers who tend to this historic space. One of my favorite parks in the city 🌳 Perfect for picnics, romantic dates, photo shoots, a peaceful stroll, and more.

One of my favourite parks in the world not just because it’s close to my home but since it always leaves with me such peace and warmth eveytime I visit. Whatever season it is, Burgerpark always have something to offer but the best time to visit is of course in Spring and Summer. The biergarten and restaurant provides really good food options that many times we have had Sunday brunch or lunch in the park. Great for picnics, walks, kids and even your pets.

The park which is in centre of Pankow is well connected with tram and bus. Inside is well maintained and there is a beautiful entry gate from one side from/towards Rathaus. Inside walks are maintained and there is a cafe/ beer garden Rose Garten. The park offers some incredible views. Very good for walking.
