Let’s tell you about the Berlin Braves Marathon 2025 - yes you read it right: not BMW Berlin Marathon. Joey and the Crew totally took over the City for the weekend and gathered anyone of us runners from all around the world as a whole family! Saturday was Berlin Braves Woodstock Festival at Görlitzer Park (come on - don’t be shy and stop call it just a shake out run). It was mental. I think I even saw a rat in the Görli with a Braves shirt that day :-) Oh, and yes, by the way, I ran the actual marathon on Sunday. It was hot, and yes, Harry Styles ran sub-3. I think it really tore him apart. Because at the Berlin Braves after-party, he was the only one who wasn't there. Let's describe the party like this: it's like a class reunion, but only with the cool kids and you're friends with everyone. I quickly forgot that I had a damn marathon on my legs that evening. It was such a perfect ending for the weekend. Unfortunately, I had to go back on Monday, but one thing is clear: whether with or without a bib for the Berlin Marathon - Berlin Braves Marathon Week 2026 is definitely on my list!

If Willy Wonka made a running club, it would be the Berlin Braves. Forget cookie-cutter group runs — these legends have redefined what it means to lace up. Running with the Berlin Braves is like plugging your sneakers into an electrical storm. I landed in Berlin for the Berlin Marathon weekend 2025 and somehow ended up in a parallel universe where running meets street culture, block parties, and world peace negotiations — all fueled by endorphins. These aren’t jogs, they’re full-blown cultural festivals disguised as miles. One minute you’re high-fiving strangers from five continents, the next you’re wondering if you accidentally joined the United Nations of Running. The Braves don’t just host events — they detonate them. Forget ‘most original run club in the world.’ The Berlin Braves are an art form, a religion, and a rebellion with running shoes. The Braves are the most original crew on Earth (and possibly the galaxy). Join them if you want to run, dance, shout, and leave Berlin with stories that sound too ridiculous to be true. The Braves are literally the cool kids of this city. Don't even mention Berghain, don't even mention your 48h rave stamina, you don't really know Berlin if you don't know BB. They're like when the Purple Cobras from Dodgeball traded headbands for the flyest drip that ain't even dropped yet. On the surface you'll be lowkey intimidated, maybe even scared, but when you step inside you realize that they're warm, funky, full of vibes. Some still don't wave back when they're running tho… come on, don't be so Berliner, waving is free. The crew is led by Joey, the Dutch Master Roshi of run culture. He's the type who remembers ur name, daps you in public, and makes every crazy event feel like home. BB are sweet and they're worth respect but there is always rivalry, that's what sports are about. When you catch them playing a game you just wanna beat them bc they're the best or at least think so. It's like playin against MJs Bulls, even if you lose you wanna take that shot. And yeah they've got some speedy mfers as well. There's this one guy, Paddy, pretty much Speedy Gonzales x The Flash. Blink and he's already done his warm up. Hood Laps = one of the city's dopest. They say bravery is facing your fears. My fear? Kilometer 36. My solution? Run it with Berlin Braves cheering you, the only crew cool enough to make lactic acid feel like techno beats. Truly this is a group that knows how to hosts the world! Awesome events throughout the marathon week! Thank you for making my journey to becoming a Berlin Legend memorable!

Great community, best shake out runs in Berlin, good atmosphere and original merch. Was lucky enough to participate in a few shake out runs, met people from the club and had a great time. Can recommend Berlin Braves merch as a good present for your runner buddies from another cities.
