One of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had with a major retailer. I returned a faulty product following Amazon’s instructions and paid for the return shipping myself. Despite providing the tracking information and shipping documentation, Amazon repeatedly refused to refund me, at one point claiming that the carrier had not scanned the parcel. I then had to contact the shipping company myself, escalate the case, and obtain an official Proof of Delivery showing that Amazon’s Returns Department had successfully received the parcel. Only after repeatedly contacting support and providing extensive evidence did Amazon finally issue the refund. The attitude of some customer service interactions made the experience even worse: dismissive, overly confident in incorrect information, and seemingly more interested in closing the case than actually investigating it. Amazon ultimately refunded both the purchase and my return shipping costs, which I appreciate. But a customer should not have to spend this much time proving that a tracked return was delivered to Amazon. The refund was eventually correct. The customer service experience was absolutely not.

I ordered three things from Amazon Germany. I've ordered hundreds of things from AliExpress so far, but I've never received anything like this! The delivery was fast, but they don't look good! The smallest order (the second one) was fine for me, apparently because it's small in size. My first order was a bag for my Anker X500 speaker - it came only in a plastic bag where you put clothes (with ventilation holes where they have them)...it's good that the bag itself is strong and has withstood the transport! There was only a small dent. My last order was an iron (not cheap!)...the factory box was opened very roughly!, crushed corners, whatever...it's good that it's for me, not a gift!, BUT there was water in the iron(!) and there were even droplets, it's scratched on one side and a little on the handle...This is not from transport! The plate below doesn't look like it's been used (at least that's good) and I assume it was in such a condition by the Neanderthal (employee) who tested it before transportation or who knows what... I wrote a review in both cases - naturally negative, real and honest, supported by photos, but Amazon Germany doesn't want to publish it! At least here, on Goog

Returned an item on March 7 via DHL (Amazon’s designated carrier). DHL lost the parcel in transit. Per Amazon’s own policy and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, a refund is legally required within 14 days of return notification—a deadline that passed on March 21. Despite this, I am being ghosted. Agent "Marcin" explicitly promised a manual refund by March 23 if the warehouse didn't act. That deadline also passed with zero action. Now, support is sending generic templates telling me to wait until April 9. Amazon is holding my money for a mistake made by their own carrier. Five weeks of "chasing" and zero accountability. Absolute failure of customer service.

I ordered vitamins, but unfortunately the package was lost during delivery. I contacted Amazon support, and they offered the fastest solution — a full refund. I received an email confirmation immediately, and within about 3 business days the money was returned to the card I used for payment. Although it was unpleasant that the order was lost and due to the exchange rate the refunded amount was about €3 less, the customer support responded right away and handled the refund quickly and professionally. Overall, very good customer service.

Horrible, primitive and useless customer service. Seller selling through Amazon sent me a wrong item, cheaper item at that, and Amazon customer service has been completely useless. I tried contacting the seller but they went silent. I left a negative review about the situation on said seller's page on Amazon where people can rate sellers and Amazon DENIED the negative review because the seller sending the wrong item and stealing my money is not somehow the seller's fault. Never again on Amazon. Temu and Ali, shady sites as they are, are better at this than Amazon. 1/5, would rate lower if I could.
