FITSTAR Schwabing is a relatively small but modern and/or freshly renovated gym. It feels clean and fresh, there is a parking for members and not much people around 13:00-15:00

I have generally enjoyed training here, but my recent experience with a staff member named Khanh was extremely disappointing. On a very hot day, I had forgotten my water bottle and simply asked if I could have a disposable cup so I could drink some water. Instead of receiving a polite explanation or any willingness to help, I was met with an unnecessarily rude attitude. I understand that the gym may have policies regarding disposable cups, and I’m not expecting special treatment. However, basic courtesy and respect towards paying members should be the minimum standard. A simple, polite response would have been completely sufficient. It was disappointing that such a small request was handled in such an unfriendly manner. I hope the management addresses customer service standards, as experiences like this leave a much stronger impression than the quality of the equipment.

I've been training here for nearly 2 years, and the transition to "All Inclusive" has been a massive disappointment. The monthly fee skyrocketed by 45% (from €24.99+€2.50 in 2024 to the current €39.95), but the quality has dropped drastically. Extreme Overcrowding: The gym is constantly packed, mostly with large groups of teenagers. I often avoid going altogether because instead of relaxing after work, I just leave more frustrated. Even as late as 10:30 PM, the place is completely overcrowded. The facility itself has serious security and hygiene issues. After 10 PM, the door is left open, there is no control, and people just sneak in. Because the smoking area is right at the door, cigarette smoke constantly blows inside onto the treadmills. Administratively, they are a mess. I updated my payment details in February, yet they kept charging the wrong card and forced me to pay an extra €4.47 fee for their mistake. On top of that, their email support is completely dead—I've been waiting for a reply forever. The gym is untidy, weights are always scattered, and broken benches are never fixed. The only saving grace is the quality of the machines and a few nice staff members.

All inclusive now. Same issues than before. Low service, low cleanliness. Cheap experience.

8/6 EDIT: No soap in the auto dispenser, so they at least they got some soap from Rossmann, I guess? More machines broken (see photos). 4/6/2026 EDIT: Where to even start. Abductor, adductor and the leg extension in the common zone are now all broken, some have been for a while now. From what I've heard the men's bathrooms still lack soap and the overall hygiene hasn't improved at all. People's etiquette has gone down and three morons (40+ mind you) were happily slamming weights they could barely lift on the row and the tower in the basement. I'm not sure if it's the marketing or the new aesthetic of the gym, but it seems that the overall IQ has gone down significantly, because why would you use a machine responsibly, so that other people can use it too, right? Also, on hot days the ventilation/aircon doesn't seem to be working at all and the gym basically becomes a sauna. That's 2in1, I guess, if you're into that kinda thing. Overall, seems like the changes done to this place should basically warrant a possibility of voiding the membership contract made with the original gym, because the place is unrecognisable at this point.
