Excellent authentic Chinese restaurant ! Spicy and non spicy dishes available. Felt like I was back in China. Really an address to visit if you are after real chinese dishes.

The dishes we had were absolutely delicious, and we truly enjoyed every bite. We will definitely come back again in the future. It’s a great spot for a date, offering a very pleasant and cozy dining atmosphere where you can enjoy both the food and a nice conversation. If you are going as a small group, you can usually find a table without much waiting. However, for larger groups, I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Simple, authentic, greasy delicious food in a good atmosphere with a very friendly service make the dinning experience very pleasant. The foods are very tasty even though some very greasy. We had the duck with fried noodles which was very good. The duck was not as crispy as I expected though. The noodle soup with shrimps was very good too. The spring rolls were OK and dumplings were tasty. The mango-orange house drink was not good at all. The highlight of our visit was super friendly service and staff next to good food. This restaurant for Chinese authentic foods is recommended.

Yan You is one of the a top-tier Chinese spot in Munich. The atmosphere is unpretentious yet vibrant with lots of Chinese locals, which is always a great sign. The food deserves the full five stars with every dish we sampled was bold, fresh and satisfying. The flavours genuinely reflect Sichuan tradition, not dumbed-down for Western palates. The generous portions are huge enough that you may end up taking quite a bit home if you order liberally. The value is also exceptional, especially given Munich pricing. Service was friendly and efficient, even when the place got busy, and the team were happy to help with recommendations. Yes, it gets lively and the décor is simple, but in this case it adds to the charm. What matters most is the kitchen delivering.

Very authentic Sichuan Chinese food! While not every dish was a standout, the overall quality was very good and true to traditional flavors. One thing to note: the portion sizes are huge compared to most other Chinese restaurants—so be mindful when ordering! We ended up taking home more than half of what we ordered. We tried to reserve a table in advance, but were told to just come by. When we arrived around 8:30 PM, the place was packed, but we still managed to get a table after just a few minutes of waiting. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a visit.
