About XIANG

One of the best Chinese restaurant in Munich that offers the authentic foods from Hunan and Sichuan.

Located at Alter Messepl. 4, 80339 München-Schwanthalerhöhe, XIANG operates as a chinesisch serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach XIANG on 089 51115193; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is xiang-restaurant.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 934 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinesisch, thai, vietnamesisch & indisch in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Good and authentic Chinese food. You get here a variety of Chinese food of different provinces. We were a big group of people amd ordered different dishes. I really liked their mapo tofu, gong bao chicken, fried cabbage, spicy beef and mala xiang gou. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and reminde me of China. Just the sevice was lacking a bit - missing two dishes first but all good st the end. Great place and you really get Chinese food like im China - just a bit more expensive.

I have eaten in better ones but still i rate it as good. Its of course all about what you like to eat and its taste. The double fried pork is simply delicious and you should try it. Otherwise for my taste they use too much soja sauce as i needed to drink all night water

Decent Hunan style cuisine here that’s pretty authentic (which also means it packs a proper spicy kick). Their grilled fish, stir fried intestines are dishes worth ordering. They also serve a variety of other dishes from other Chinese cuisines (e.g. dim sum) but those dishes are pretty poor so I’d recommend skipping them.

Fav meal I had in Germany, I didn’t think it’d be Chinese lol. Incredibly good and authentic flavors. The century egg on the silken tofu dish was chefs kiss. Mapo tofu and morning glory was also so good. The meats were also all delicious and spicy. It was all so good and I think we must’ve ordered everything on the menus lol. They seated my big party of loud obnoxious freinds and were very kind to us.

Great Chinese restaurant close to the hbf in Munich. There are many different options. We try the lamd and chicken, little spicy but good taste. You can have unlimited rice for 1 euro. The atmosphere there is pleasant and the service is kind. I recommend this restaurant.
