Very pleasant, small and relaxed independent coffee shop tucked away from the main part of the city. The service was excellent, quick and friendly and very reasonably priced. Well worth the tram ride to get to (nearest stop PostStrasse).

What the hell. The best coffee you could find in Cologne is in Wiewaldi!! We couldn’t believe our tastebuds after one sip. Strongly recommend. Only thing though, cafe is too small and cramped. Takeaway might be better.

Came here to looking for a light roast nutty, creamy chocolaty coffee which was also promoted this way. I found it a bit on the bitter/sour almost over burnt side and understand the reviews to say that the coffee beans might taste cheap. Another minus is no to-go cups unless reusable. I understand the environmental thought behind it but it’s not customer friendly compared to other branches. Overall not for me.

Wiewaldi Coffee Roasters was a great stop for coffee. It’s a bit outside the Old Town core, which makes it quieter, perfect for having a conversation while enjoying your drink. Customer service was outstanding and added to the overall experience. The coffee was well crafted, though it was missing one of my favorite characteristics: acidity. For example, the Americano I had reminded me more of a drip coffee profile rather than a bright, punchy espresso. That said, this comes down to personal preference, as not everyone enjoys higher acidity in their coffee.

Great little coffee shop tucked away on a quiet street. Shop is named after the owner’s cat. Delicious cappuccino and baked goods.
