Stunningly original food creations. Multi demensionsal flavors from unlikely participants. Any chef who can handle an aubergine as Vunky does is a genius.

A place for anyone who appreciates thoughtful, plant-based cuisine. We went for the lunch menu, which changes every two weeks, keeping things fresh and seasonal. We started with the pickles & ferments which, in the current heat of around 33°C, felt like an absolute treat light, refreshing, and full of vibrant flavors. The same goes for the drinks: we had fermented beverages like water kefir and ginger beer, which were perfectly balanced and incredibly refreshing, especially with the warm outdoor temperature and the dishes on the table. Really enjoyed the Erbse, served mid-warm, with a beautiful contrast between soft, silky textures and subtle crunch—simple ingredients elevated with precision. After that, the aubergine lasagne. How it looks? That’s something you’ll have to discover for yourself but we can say this: it was absolutely delicious. We ended the lunch with an ice cream made from elderflower and strawberry jam, a soft, lightly sweet and elegant finish. The service came with a genuine smile and a relaxed approach, perfectly matching the atmosphere. Add to that a 90’s hip hop soundtrack filling the space, and you get a spot that feels both cool and comfortable at the same

to preface this this review, we went into this experience fully understanding the modus operandi and requested for our dishes to be veganized. however, they informed us that the current three course menu was completely vegan except for the butter served with the bread in the beginning, but that it would be substituted with a vegan spread. we were happy to receive this information and also happily accepted some complementary prosecco. we were off to a great start. however, we’d soon be disappointed by the customer service. we do not drink alcohol and wanted to order lemonade and apple juice with our food (we seriously are suckers for apple juice!), but were flat out told “no” by the waitresses, who then pushed us to order a fancier drink. why offer juice if you do not want to serve it? anyways, the mood was further soured when we were served the non-vegan butter, despite explicitly asking for vegan menus. the next faux pas happened when we were offered to relocate. we were originally seated on a tiny high table by the kitchen. however, when one reservation did not show, the waitress offered to move us to one of the lower tables in the regular dining area. while we truly did not mi

As French tourists in Köln we booked a table without fully understanding the menu since it was all in German and were taken aback when the waiters explained it was a three-course meal.. however we stuck with it and it was very much worth it! We had an amazing evening so much thanks to the food as to the great atmosphere. The dishes were high quality and my personal favourite, the choux, was so light. The decorations, lights, and staff were very inviting and create a cozy environment. I will definitely come visit again if I come back to Köln another time. Thank you again for this amazing time!
