For anything on wheels, from a tyre change to a new vehicle, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

Erlangen is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Erlangen, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Initially, I faced some difficulties with the service, as I do not speak German and because my first contact with the car dealership was without a prior appointment. However, everything was compensated when I spoke with Mr. Orth. He was always attentive, competent, and honest in his advice. The purchase process was extremely efficient and fast. The delivery of the car was also carried out very professionally. The car I purchased was exactly as advertised online and was in perfect condition. I can clearly recommend this car dealership without hesitation, especially Mr. Orth.
