I always look back at my memories in Germany and find my patronage of this restaurant to be among the best memories. Highly recommend this place, customer service not particularly great though but it’s Germany so nothing too different. According to my East German aunt: everything including the seats are from the late GDR, nothing has been bought from the 21st century. Beautiful experience. Highly recommend the schnitzel, East German classic.

It's a good restaurant, the dish I ordered was quite simple but good, my friend's was delicious. The decor is excellent and I really felt like I was in East Germany. A bit expensive. The staff are super attentive, they give you a chocolate after you pay the bill :)

Such a unique and fun experience. It is so traditional in terms of food options and flavors but the atmosphere makes the experience even better. The food was delicious, the blonde server we had was very friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was amazing. We had the pork knuckle (which was a huge portion) and the roulade and both were so tasty. We also tried the colorful pudding for dessert which is something I have never seen before and it was very different but delicious.

Volkskammer is a great restaurant to eat food that was common in the DDR/GDR. The portion sizes are large and the food is definitely authentic. The prices are fair also. The food came out very quick and the service was good. Seating is available inside and outside. I would definitely come here again.

As an Eastern European, I have to say they did a great job! The restaurant feels really authentic. They used to be situated exactly like this on the floor level in a communist bloc of apartments. The decoration is a lot, which takes away some of the authenticity, but I understand why. The details are so fun, I love it! The food and service are also very good! Overall, it was a great experience and it is worth a visit!
