Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. Getting around Berlin is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Berlin and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

I am giving one star to the worker who attended to me the first time I visited. I wish I knew her name. The receptionist is very terrible, rude and racist. I had the worse experience ever in this educational center. I went there to register for a German course, I got attended to the first time and this nice lady helped me to apply for BAMF contribution exception. She told me to come back when I receive an answer from BAMF, I got the answer and on a Thursday after work, I went there to hand over the reply I got from BAMF which is positive, so I could continue with my registration. The receptionist refused to give me a number that I should go and come back in the morning, I insisted that I am working so I can't come in the morning. She sluggishly gave me a number. I waited for over 1hr and was finally called to go to the registration block. When I got there, she took the document from me inside and told me to wait. Little did I know that she took it so they will take notice of it so they won't attend to me. I waited again for almost 30mins, feeling frustrated that I was running late to pickup my kid from school and I was there with my younger kid who was agitated because he was ti

Actually I think 3.5 stars would be more accurate, but 3 I think is fairer than 4. The 3 stars are for the opportunity to learn for a low price. For German classes, compared to Goethe and other private schools VHS is definitely a steal and a great opportunity. The building is also pretty clean, classrooms are big and bright, and there are smart boards for the teachers to use. I would say in general the school is well-equipped. Now to the negatives. I was studying here for 2 months in the spring, and for most of that time the elevator did not work. The VHS classrooms are floor 4 and 5, and one must take the stairs to get there. Fine if you're healthy and mobile, but if you have any kind of mobility challenge - good luck. I honestly think this is ridiculous. I would often see the older staff members struggling with the stairs, and that kind of attitude from management is just deplorable. The quality of instruction is kind of OK, and you get what you pay for. I had one teacher who was nice and at the very least fun to learn with, and another who was so boring I stopped going to her classes. She made us read aloud and copy stuff off the board for hours on end (at C1 Level!) and her
