I bought some nice books and souvenirs at Thalia Alexa today. Anne (Cashier) was super nice and helpful as she supported me to complete necessary documents for tax free with some useful advice although she’s not familiar with the task as it was rare at the bookstore. I was totally impressed by the way Anne helped me that shows the professionalism and bespoke customer service that Thalia staff offer to customers. I will definitely come back to Thalia Alexa if I have the chance and highly recommend others to visit the bookstore.

I came to the store in a good mood, impressed by the newly expanded space and the overall atmosphere. I genuinely liked the new layout. Unfortunately, this positive impression was quickly ruined by an interaction with a rude staff member on the third floor when I tried to pick up my online order. She asked, “Was möchten Sie?” I replied, “Ich möchte meine Bestellung abholen.” She said, “Was?” I showed my screen and said it was a pickup (Abholung). Her response was: “Was ist eine Abholung? Thalia ist eine Buchhandlung.” Her tone was unnecessarily rude and scolding, as if I had done something wrong simply by asking for help. She then pointed me toward another information counter near the cashier, without offering any assistance. This experience was extremely upsetting. I am a regular customer and did not expect to be spoken to this way. I cannot help but question whether this treatment was due to the fact that I am an immigrant and a woman of color with imperfect German. If this had happened in a small town, I might sadly understand, but this is Berlin. Awesome bookstore with massive 3 floors for display , great arrangement with headlines for types of books you need. Lots of souvernirs for any kinky little things you have. A very wide range of books and specificly mangas

Fantastic book store! They have every kind of literature material that reading lovers could wish for... And the god part is a complete separate and big section for books in English. There are books and magazines for all categories..fiction, science, non-fiction, thrillers, pleasure, information, comics, art, humour, natural and technical sciences, hobbies, parental, spirituality, health, cooking, sports, languages, games etc. Spread over 2 floors within the Alexa mall, there's also a small but good reading area within. Apart from literature, they also have souvenirs, calendars, gifting & packing material and other seasonal stuff.
