Swaad Restaurant Pasing is a chinesisch in München, Bayern. It is listed at Gottfried-Keller-Straße 35, 81245 München, which places it among the local businesses of München that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as cocktailbar, marathi-restaurant, nicht-vegetarisches restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–2:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0157 58270356. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is swaadgermany.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 1,140 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinesisch, thai, vietnamesisch & indisch in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Swaad was good but a bit overrated for me. The Chicken Lollipop was amazing crispy and full of flavor. But I’m a hardcore non-veg person and the Mutton didn’t live up to the hype. I was expecting more taste based on what I’d heard. Service and everything else was really good though. Staff was polite and the ambiance was nice. Would go again, but only for the starters

Really good food—honestly, some of the best Indian food in Munich. The staff is friendly, and it's lovely to dine outside on the terrace facing the inner courtyard. I would love to come back here again! -06.06.2026

Guys, I came here hoping for authentic Indian food, especially Maharashtrian dishes like Shev Bhaji and Vada Pav — and it did not disappoint. Apart from that, the Biryani, Kofta, and cocktails were amazing too. I’m visiting from Berlin, and trust me, I’ve never had this level of authentic Indian taste anywhere else in Germany. The service by Bhau was exceptional and made the experience even better. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Munich. Highly recommended!

I rarely visit the same restaurant twice while traveling—there’s just too much to explore—but this Indian restaurant in Munich completely broke that rule for me. One of the highlights for me was finding authentic Maharashtrian street food on the menu—something you don’t often come across in Europe. The vada pav was everything it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and spiced perfectly on the inside, with chutneys that brought the whole bite to life. But the real standout was the misal pav. Rich, spicy, and full of texture, it had that comforting yet fiery kick that makes it so memorable. Paired with fresh pav, it felt like a true taste of Maharashtra right in the heart of Munich. It’s rare to find these dishes done this well outside India, and it made the experience even more special. If you’re in Munich and even remotely enjoy Indian cuisine, this place is absolutely worth your time. Visiting twice in one trip wasn’t part of the plan—but it ended up being one of the best dining decisions I made.
