About StayStay Guesthouse 24h Check-In

StayStay Guesthouse 24h Check-In is a pensionen in Nürnberg, Bayern. It is listed at Laufamholzstraße 216c, 90482 Nürnberg, which places it among the local businesses of Nürnberg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.

No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. The listed phone number is 0911 50645290. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is staystay.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 224 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for pensionen, gasthöfe & b&bs in Nürnberg. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Nürnberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Location easy to find, cleaned room but the water not working properly in the shower, no sign in the room that air conditioning is not working and we had to call the host, broken furniture

Well, it's 24/7 check-in, and that's why I booked it quite late because I had no choice. It was quite cheap and the price was very good. I booked a sleeping space in a 6-sleeping bunker, and there were enough earplugs on the counter, and it was quiet too. I slept very well and didn't hear anything while the other guys left early in the morning. The only problem was that there was no one to contact at 2:00 AM because the self-check-in machine was asking me to pay again at the site. I had booked through Booking.com, and they were telling me to wait until they received a reply from the property, which they said would take 5 to 7 days, which was absurd, and I was stranded at night. So I had to pay at the site again after waiting an hour, and I got the refund from Booking.com in the morning.

I walked in from the street on July 28 at 3am, no reservation: nobody there but I registered and paid at the reception terminal. The process was flawless: the system automatically understood that I wanted a room FOR THE NIGHT OF 27 to 28, even though, in real time, we were already the 28th. As a comparison, Booking.com didn't allow me to do such a booking after around 2am. The touchscreen worked, the booking and payment took 5 minutes and the machine delivered my magnetic card immediately. My dormitory "capsule" was spacious, with a locker, a box underneath my bed AND a comfortable space alongside the mattress for my bags, toiletries and clothes. The capsule was as clean and well litt as all the communal spaces. I ate and drank from the reception vending machine, had a long warm shower, smoked a cigarette on the outside terrace and went to sleep. everything was absolutely well designed to respond to the needs of a passing traveller.

I accidentally booked the wrong date by one day. I realised my mistake within minutes of receiving the confirmation email and immediately tried to contact the property through the Booking.com app, by phone, and via WhatsApp. Unfortunately, there was no response through any of these channels. When I finally reached the hotel manager, I was initially told they would see what could be done, but I never received any follow-up. After contacting them again later, I was informed that no refund would be provided. This was an obvious and honest mistake that I reported almost immediately after making the reservation. I wasn’t asking for special treatment—just some understanding or at least a partial refund. Instead, there was no willingness to help, despite the prompt notification. The complete lack of flexibility and customer care was very disappointing.

Rooms are small for a hotel on the outskirts of the city. TV did not connect to the internet. Had to change rooms five days into our nine night vacation. Service overall friendly. Ample parking and the whole place was clean. Ok for the money.
