About 1a Gästehaus am Hafen

Located at Donaustraße 23, 90451 Nürnberg-Süd, 1a Gästehaus am Hafen operates as a pensionen serving Nürnberg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 43 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pensionen, gasthöfe & b&bs in Nürnberg.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

because of the strike in Germany I was not able to go, the owner did not want to make any commercial gesture and charged the entire stay!

We stayed here about 2 months ago; It's perfect for a stay of about 2 to 3 nights. You get everything you need; decent rooms, decent breakfast and whatever.. no complaints..The cleaning woman got angry with my because I entered when i was not allowed.. i personally didn't like that BUT; everything was sparkling clean AFTERWARDS EVERYTHING WAS SPARKLING CLEAN so 1000 points for the cleaning personel!! Great job! (My apologies for interrupting your fine work ma'am!) I might seem a far distance from the "alt stadt" but it isn't!; You can take the train (S-Bahn) & the U-Bahn to the city without any effort! I would like to thank our host in particular; Emma is her name! EMMA WAS GREAT! She welcomed us very warmly and even showed us around the city! Emma made our stay an unforgettable experience and I would like to thank her personally!! She is the reason that we booked another night at the Gasthaus. Message to the owner: Please recognize the value off good personal; Emma & the cleaning personel made our stay very pleasant! Don't forget how valuable these people are! Thank you kindly for our stay!

We were placed in a basement room without ventilation and No fire alarm installed ( probably illegal). We were not informed that we were not getting a regular and proper room when we booked ( weeks in advance). Right outside the basement window was the parking area so unsafe to keep the window open for ventilation plus we were getting the fumes from the cars . We went back to complain about the room right away but the hostess had left as soon as we were handed the key. The only way to get in contact with the staff was through email. We sent a message right away ( late afternoon) but nobody answered. We got a very cold and indifferent response from the staff the next morning.
